Pauline Barker has an M.Sc and a B.Ed (Hons), first class. Currently she is studying for a doctorate at Bath University. She has extensive overseas experience.
From 1998-2001 Pauline was Headteacher of Brookhouse School, Nairobi, Kenya. From 2001-2005 she was Headteacher of Rumukoroshe (Shell) School, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. From 2005 Pauline has become a consultant working for CfBT, BBC, Fieldwork and York Education Solutions. Her consultancy work has been in UK and the Middle East. Currently she is producing a set of competencies for International Shell Schools as well as training to become an OFSTED inspector.
Pauline has written training materials and led courses on the implementation of a new international curriculum programme.
Working with CfBT Education Trust, she was part of the initial learning review team, contributing to the writing of materials and delivered training to senior management teams and class teachers in Abu Dhabi.
Pauline has written ‘Leadership for Learning’ materials and delivered training on this for school leaders in Qatar. She is currently contracted to the BBC to provide educational materials for schools. As a Headteacher and through her work with Fieldwork Pauline has considerable staff recruitment experience. |
