Doug Lowes - Educational Director
|
Doug believes that providing high quality educational services is paramount to the process of developing schools for the future and for children to achieve their potential. Where teachers, students, parents governors, local and national authorities are working in harmony, then the possibilities for students and educational success are boundless.
Until recently, Doug was the educational leader of the Supreme Education Council’s cohort two independent schools in the State of Qatar. Doug continues to provide consultancy services to the Supreme Education Council’s Evaluation Institute. A key agenda item to this work has been designing their School Evaluation Framework and training School Evaluation Officers to a high level of competency. Doug has used his current experience as an OFSTED inspector and School Improvement Partner to support Qatari colleagues in their work.
Before moving to Qatar Doug worked in for Cambridge Education Associates as their North Eastern Regional Coordinator. In this role Doug monitored the work of external advisers and threshold assessors to ensure a high standard of service was provided to schools in the region. Doug
Previously Doug had experience of working as a school improvement adviser in North Tyneside and North Yorkshire. Prior to this Doug was a headteacher for seven years in Cumbria. Educational development is in Doug’s blood and currently he is undertaking an Ed.D at the University of Hull.
